The Sudanese Army and the Colombian Mercenary Myth: A Desperate Attempt to Mislead the Media and Distort the Truth

Amid the ongoing war in Sudan, which was ignited by the Sudanese army and the Islamist regime (the "Kizan") to thwart the Sudanese revolution and the people's demands for freedom and democracy, new claims have surfaced regarding the involvement of Colombian mercenaries in the ranks of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Pro-government media outlets have attempted to present these allegations as facts, despite the glaring lack of credible evidence. This raises several questions about the veracity of these claims and their underlying objectives.

Recently, reports circulated in the media about the arrest of "Colombian mercenaries" allegedly working with the RSF. These claims have coincided with increasing pressure on the Sudanese army, which is facing accusations of recruiting mercenaries from various countries to fight the Sudanese people. The introduction of the "Colombian mercenary" narrative appears to be a feeble attempt to distract attention from the internal crises facing the army, including its battlefield losses and its involvement in shady deals that rely on foreign support.

Despite the media attention surrounding this issue, the details presented are unclear and lack credibility. The story of contracts for securing oil infrastructure in the UAE, followed by the transportation of mercenaries to Sudan, reads more like a fabricated tale intended to smear the RSF, which has become a force opposing the Kizan regime. Moreover, how can the Sudanese army, which relies on international support from its traditional allies, accuse others of using mercenaries? Shouldn't they be explaining to the Sudanese people the role some countries play in supplying weapons and ammunition to kill civilians?

It is not new for the Kizan regime to use media as a tool to push their agendas. Rather than confronting the harsh realities on the ground, they resort to fabricating lies and stirring up side issues to distract the Sudanese people from their calls for democracy and justice.

The aim of these stories is clear: to tarnish the image of the RSF and label it as a force of foreign mercenaries, and to create confusion among the Sudanese public. However, the people of Sudan, who have endured the Kizan's tricks for decades, are more aware than ever. They can easily distinguish between truth and manufactured propaganda.

In the end, the story of "Colombian mercenaries" is just another chapter in the ongoing campaign of lies propagated by the Sudanese army and the Kizan. The real aim is to distract from their own crimes against civilians and their attempts to crush the revolution. These tactics will not fool the Sudanese people, who remain steadfast in their pursuit of freedom and democracy and are determined to uncover the truth and hold accountable those responsible for the destruction of their country.

The Sudanese people will not be deceived by these recycled stories, and they will continue to expose the lies, no matter how many new strategies are employed to cover up the truth.
